Sophie + George hosted an incredible, fun and joyous wedding. It was important to the couple to make sure all their friends and family were having a blast. These two jetted off to start a new adventurous life in New Zealand. Their big England wedding had to have their favourite people all in one room, seeing as they don’t see them that often! This made the celebrations 10000% more fun and energetic!
The Old Gore Barn is a beautiful, contemporary space with lots of natural light. It’s situated in the picturesque village of Calmsden, Gloucestershire in the heart of The Cotswolds.
Sophie opted to hire a gorgeous home 15 minutes from the venue, this is where her bridal party and family stayed. We would always recommend if your venue lacks natural light and you’re envisioning your prep to have that airy vibe. Hiring a house or an Air B&B close by is better choice and you will not regret it!
The ceremony was one of our favourite moments of the whole day, with emotional private vows and 2 meaningful readings. Their niece opted to read a poem from Winnie The Pooh, which is incorporated into the film and makes us well up every time we watch it! Our second was their choreographed first dance, which nobody had any idea was happening. They had spent months practising the lifts, it was pretty epic! Especially seen everybody reactions
Sophie + George are the perfect couple, their love and kind hearts shone through all of the guests that were there. It was a true honour to get to know them on a personal level, to meet their closest people and to capture their magical day.
