Islamic Wedding With A Floral Twist. Izzy + Huib At The Holford Estate

A little about us: We are a Husband and Wife wedding photographer and videographer duo who love! We create emotive and romantic wedding films and photography. Our couples choose us for our signature editing style and super fun vibe!

Izzy + Huib had an amazing untraditional, and relaxed wedding at The Holford Estate. It was the perfect venue to host their joyous occasion. It was important to share the day with their closest friends and family, we made sure we captured all the guests mingling and having a great time with their hosts. Their vibe for their day was warm, floral wildflowers, intimate, outdoorsy, eastern hospitality and tropical. The floor was filled with cushions and blankets for their guests to sit on during the ‘Nikkah Ceremony’ making it extra cozy. This is an Islamic marriage ceremony which was a delight to witness, we have never been to see one before.

The whole room was bursting with emotion, love, and joy. All of their guests were completely present, watching ahead as two families from two different worlds came together for love. There were so many elements of their day that we adored: ‘The Warming Of The Rings’ was probably my favourite. A ring-warming ceremony is a tradition that involves passing around the wedding bands to guests. Upon receiving the rings, guests “warm” them up with a prayer, good wishes, or positive vibes for the couple’s future together.

So much of their day was infused with their personalities and quirks, they did their wedding their way and we absolutely loved capturing it for them. We can’t thank them enough for allowing and trusting us with such an important job. We are truly inspired by their love!
